Which of these labels best describes me? Do I know? Do I care? Either way, I do know this: I love stories. I love finding them, telling them, crafting them. Be it via fanfiction, art, poetry or my current work-in-progress – a YA urban fantasy novel (and potential trilogy) – stories with interesting characters and fantastical worlds are my bread and butter.

Wen Yee Ang is a Malaysian-Chinese writer, designer and publishing professional. She holds a Bachelor of Design (Computing) from the University of Melbourne, and is currently completing the Associate’s Degree in Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT. She was the 2024 recipient of the Hachette Australia X MDA Traineeship, and will thus be starting as a Publishing Assistant at Hachette Australia in 2025.
